    About

Aetos Research is a professional ecological consultancy based in Scotland.  We provide expert advice on all aspects of ecological surveying and monitoring, including surveys of plant species and habitats, birds, protected mammals and invertebrates.

All Aetos Research services are carried out in accordance with the professional conduct requirements of the Chartered Institute for Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), and the surveys and assessments we offer can be used to support and inform development planning applications and decisions, conservation management questions and longer-term project goals involving habitat restoration and rehabilitation. We offer tailor-made surveys and solutions at competitive industry rates, with discounts available for environmental organisations and charities.  Please contact us here for information, advice and quotations.

In addition to providing first-class ecological services, we also have extensive experience in the correct analysis, interpretation and clear reporting of ecological fieldwork, which is absolutely key to the delivery of reliable and defensible conclusions.

We also deliver highly regarded training workshops on modern approaches to the statistical analysis of ecological data.  These workshops are available to those who wish to become, or who are already, ecological consultants, specialists in other disciplines, as well as to the higher education sector, business, and relevant government agencies.
